Republicans In Disarray

She knows the election is over, right? And it's just a matter of votes being counted? She can't drum up any more enthusiasm for any more Republicans in Arizona to vote for her; she knows that, right? And Newt knows there is no vote count except the popular vote count in a mid-term, right? Just making sure we all still agree on reality. And here's the disjunct I can't get over. Who is still "honoring" Trump even though he's lost every election since 2018? Clearly not the voters. But their voice only matters once every two years, for about a week or so. When the dust settles on who controls the House and Senate, the voice of the voters will be forgotten again. Actually, it'll probably be forgotten by the time Trump announces his third run at the White House. Then the voice of the pollsters takes over; the voice with the least power and authority gets the greatest authority. Until the voters speak again. Lather, rinse, repeat; ad infinitum, ad nauseum. Who is it who is failing to "wake up"? The voting public? Or the chattering classes? My bold prediction is that, come November 16, none of that will matter, and we won't be talking about it anymore. We'll just be talking about the power/threat/danger/kingmaker Trump is. Again. And again. And again. Pretty much the same thing is going to happen to Kari Lake and any loser who was not an incumbent but thinks they won anyway.

  1. Bad habits are the hardest to break. The national media is not going to stop talking about Trump till he's, as the Scottish football fans said "in a box."
