And if it isn’t they’ll just change the headlines and you’ll forget you ever saw this.*Now this is interesting:

- On left, NYT front page day before 2018 mid-terms under Trump. Headline—properly—is about uncertainty.
As it happened, Dems picked up 41 seats in House.
- On right, NYT front page today. Lead story and "analysis" are about doom for Dems.

See?By mid-afternoon today, several advisers said they believed Trump had been talked out of doing so but the idea isn’t put to bed completely. https://t.co/jd0XVPKsrY

Gone already!Announcing…something. Who knows what! But people will be very very happy, okay? https://t.co/PeaLyHlhqT

No reason not to move that back to Tuesday morning. Or the day before. After all, the pundits agree the polls are “tightening” and trending toward the GOP. Why not just end it there? Seems fair; and far less suspicious. You see what’s happening here, right https://t.co/oucV6b0wPO

Weeks later! Even the polls are "suspicious”! The only solution is to end all voting and declare Republicans the majority and ruling party in perpetuity. Let’s end all this uncertainty and suspicions activity!Which is a good opportunity to remind everyone that exit polls aren't designed to gauge turnout, and their results are most useful once they've been weighted to actual turnout, which will take weeks.
