Or just saving the judiciary from itself? As conservatives realize that throwing abortion to the democratic process means losing elections, the Supreme Court will tack to a “Right to Life” position that withdraws abortion from the democratic process and prohibits abortion as a matter of constitutional interpretation.

It’s gonna be an issue, sooner or later.Federal courts ruled earlier this year that AL, GA, and LA each had to draw an additional “majority-minority” House district to satisfy federal law.

In unsigned, unexplained orders, #SCOTUS *blocked* those rulings — resulting in three R seats that would likely have been D seats. pic.twitter.com/hNR4JD4EmH
The more I read about the history in and around Marbury v Madison, the clearer it seems to me that even before Taney, it was a corrupt ruling that has had some of the worst effects in American history and little of the "good" rulings made under it have turned out to be durable because Republican-fascists and white supremacists work around those or overturn them later. The Supreme Court has to have that power which was never in the Constitution stripped from it. I hope it happens as soon as possible.
