Kevin McCarthy Thinks This Is The First Time This Has Ever Happened

(I’m old. I remember the Mercury program. Moon landings pre-dated the Apollo launches (they had to be sure the moon surface would hold the weight. Seriously.). So this is…πŸ₯±To me, anyway.)

Yeah, the Ranger program started inauspiciously, but between its successful landings and those of Surveyor (one of which was a focal point for Apollo 12's surface activity), we learned a lot. Still, the Moon is larger than Africa, and we've barely explored it, so it's great that we've got so many people continuing missions of discovery. Now we wait to see if SpaceX screws the pooch on the lander, the in-orbit refueling, etc...
"It is good to wonder,” the philosopher said. “Space travel has again made children of us all.”—Ray Bradbury

Always liked old Ray….
