 Is MAGA not showing up to the town halls?

Can they not get out if their basements? Or can they not be bothered with representative government?

And if MAGA is loudest online, then how much of MAGA is Russian trolls?

And if MAGA can’t show up IRL, why are they considered so powerful? Was it MAGA that elected Trump, or a small majority upset by inflation and the price of eggs? Or, as I’m convinced, unwilling to vote for a Black woman?

Does Trump really have a “base”? Every time I read how his approval is higher now than it was at this point in his first term, I think: but his disapproval is still at least 10 points higher, so what’s that all about?

People tend to side with the status quo. The devil you know, and all that. They also tend to turn out incumbents up and down the ballot at once, especially when they’re annoyed. So I don’t think Trump had coattails; and if Wyoming is a sampler, he won’t in 2026, either.

MAGA online seems happy with whatever Trump does; but voters in town halls and opinion polls certainly aren’t (I trust the former more than the latter). I doubt Putin has shut down his troll farms. So…
