My response could invoke graphic index shock (“Too many words, my dear Mozart!”) So the Tl;dr: 

love takes work, and even self-abnegation. The Church of Meaning and Belonging v. The Church of Sacrifice for Meaning and Belonging. The latter requires sacrifice, and who wants that?
