"I would like to say 'This book is written to the glory of God', but nowadays this would be the trick of a cheat, i.e., it would not be correctly understood."--Ludwig Wittgenstein
"Talk to me about the truth of religion, and I'll listen gladly. Talk to me about the duty of religion and I'll listen submissively. But don't come talking to me about the consolation of religion or I shall suspect that you don't understand."--C.S. Lewis

Holy Week 2019: Good Friday into Holy Saturday
What I miss most about church service is the music. Rarely did I get to hear a string quartet, or anything other than an electronic organ, play in worship. I miss the hymn singing most of all. This is the only appropriate music for Good Friday, I think. The worship service should be without music or singing, the day as quiet as possible, the mood as somber as can be achieved. But if a string quartet could play this, live, as the service ended and everyone left, it would be nearly perfect.
In my imagination, anyway.
"Now there was a garden in the place where he had been crucified, and a new tomb in the garden where no one had yet been laid to rest."--John 19:41, SV.
