🎶 “Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya...” 🎶

If the Court doesn’t dismiss today, or rule, the case is moot. The electoral college meets on Monday.

Part of the relief sought is that the Court enjoin the electors from Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania from voting. Not that the legislatures could (or would) change electors (the 106 in Congress just won re-election and, besides, wouldn’t be the ones overturning the will of their people). But it would give Trump time for more grift. Grifters gotta grift.

The question of power is the pertinent question.“Winning,” Vince Lombardi reportedly said, “isn’t everything. It’s the only thing.” It’s a clever sentiment for sports, a terrible one for governance. Of course, we’ve had this kind of corruption in American politics before. That doesn’t mean we have to accept it. That does mean we know how to deal with it. We’ve done it before.
