It isn’t sympathy for the refusers, it’s bewilderment that they exist at all. When local news reports a violent crime, it’s that it happened, not that everyone’s doing it, or should sympathize with the accused.
GOP politicians want us to “respect” those who refuse vaccination, but that’s another matter. They’re playing a weird death cult game. Reporting on people who won’t get vaccinated is just reporting on human strangeness, which is mostly what we call “news.”
