Sounds like a confession...https://t.co/PygRvVtQui
They are promising to do this everyday until their demands are met. Or they idle in traffic so long they run out of gas. Granted, they are a bit incoherent:Accidents along the Washington Beltway as trucker convoy causes chokepoints https://t.co/wdSHspzQ00

Some supporters watched with American flags from the overpasses of I-270 and I-495. Tabitha McLoughlin of Rockville was on the Bradley Boulevard bridge over the Beltway. Her dad was a truck driver.
“To see this, a bunch of working individuals.. that want to work without the restrictions of working… it’s a beautiful thing. “So they want their money for nothing and their chicks for free?
That seems to be about right. Right, Ricky Schroeder?Hung some signs at the trucker convoy in Hagerstown today. pic.twitter.com/jzR4NsnhrT

Liberation will come by driving slowly around the Beltway until they realize nobody cares. Or they get bored; whichever comes first. So that's what little Ricky is doing. I never watched that show, I figured it was Reagan era billionaire propaganda. Minnie Marx once observed that show-biz was the only place people who didn't know much could make that much money.
ReplyDeleteYeah, affluent white men whining that they're not privileged enough, perfect job for a washed-up, alcoholic child actor. No one I know who drives for a living could afford to have such an expensive group tantrum.
I wonder if that stupid pop song from the 70s about this hadn't been recorded if any of this would be happening. As well the stupid movie made from it I remember turning off one hot June night when I was waiting for a goat to freshen and I was too tired and stupid to read. Late night TV like that was one of the things that made me realize pop kulcha was trash. As I recall the song, they were demanding the "right" to break traffic laws.
