Trump Agonistes

Trump is testifying in the NY civil case today:

5/ The judge has lost patience with the former president. "Mr. Kise," the judge says to Trump's lawyer, "can you control your client?"
What more do you need to know?

Engoron, after listening to another speech in response to a yes-or-no question: “I beseech you to control him. If you can’t, I will. I will excuse him and draw every negative inference.”
I’m pretty sure this is all “you had to be there,” but Trump is really pissing off Engoron:
But the statement overall, he maintains, was a “nice compilation of assets” and reflected that he had $342 million in cash. Engoron is angry and without any objection, shouts, “Stricken! Stricken!”
The non-legal version is: Trump is talking too damned much.

Kise really has nothing to say:
Kise: “I’d urge the court to take in all information possible ….You have on the stand a candidate for president of the United States; the most efficient way to get through this is to listen to what he has to say … about what happened and why there’s no intent to mislead anyone. I believe that’s highly relevant and highly probative.”
One of Engoron’s complaints is that Trump is giving campaign speeches. Kise is not helping his client; but at this point, he can’t.
