According to Rubin, Trump's lawyers filed a list of 127 potential witnesses they might ask to take the stand in the $250 million civil fraud trial. They want the judge to whittle that list down peremptorily so they can use the denial as grounds for appeal. Unless Engoron refuses to allow the defense any witnesses, any action he takes to reject repetitive or irrelevant testimony won’t be reversible.
A) I doubt Trump will call 127 witnesses.
B) The judge will let them testify, but use what they say as grounds to strike them, where appropriate.
C) The DA and the Court have the time. It’s Trump who’s burning up his money. That criminal case in March will be even more expensive. πΈ
He remains a strategery genius.
