This hearing has been remarkable. Dr. Fauci publicly contradicting talking points from WH and VP's office. Really underlying the severity of the situation we're in right now. Turning point, in my mind. First public appearance where we're really getting somewhat of a full picture.— Erin Banco (@ErinBanco) March 11, 2020
Dr. Facui in congressional hearing this morning:— Erin Banco (@ErinBanco) March 11, 2020
Q: Is the worst yet to come, Dr. Fauci?
A: Yes. Yes it is.
Fauci again asked about this. Then pressed to answer whether Trump's steps taken in Jan helped the situation.— Erin Banco (@ErinBanco) March 11, 2020
Fauci: With respect, I'd like to look ahead now. We need to be doing a lot more. https://t.co/nQl01UZBNr
Dr. Anthony Fauci tells the House Oversight Committee that #coronavirus has a mortality rate of 1 percent and that's 10 times the 0.1 percent mortality rate of the flu. "This is really a serious problem," he says.— David Corn (@DavidCornDC) March 11, 2020
"I mean, people always say, well, the flu, you know, the flu does this, the flu does that. The flu has a mortality of 0.1%. This is ten times that. That's the reason I want to emphasize we have to stay ahead of the game," Dr. Fauci tells House Oversight Committee.— Jennifer Jacobs (@JenniferJJacobs) March 11, 2020
THAT'S ENOUGH OF THAT!Dr. Fauci just said Corona Virus infections will come to every town in America, it’s just a question of when. Trump said last week that America only had 15 cases but that number would be down to zero shortly.— Molly Knight (@molly_knight) March 10, 2020
Trump trying to silence a hearing mid-hearing, after Fauci got real in public about how bad this is going to be? https://t.co/5srufVPWWU— emptywheel (@emptywheel) March 11, 2020
Spoke to several people right before the briefing ended. The line from the admin was that the witnesses were called away for a previously scheduled meeting. That Dr. Fauci had misspoken when he said it was emergency. But no one has been able to say what meeting this is.— Erin Banco (@ErinBanco) March 11, 2020
Fauci will be fired by nightfall. Meanwhile:
BREAKING: W.H.O. says the coronavirus is now a pandemic https://t.co/qYIhGytGTZ— Bloomberg (@business) March 11, 2020
So at the same time Dr. Fauci was warning Congress that Coronavirus will get worse, our dipshit President was hate-tweeting at Vanity Fair.— Adam Parkhomenko (@AdamParkhomenko) March 11, 2020
Vanity Fair Magazine, which will soon be out of business, and their third rate Fake reporters, who make up sources which don’t exist, wrote yet another phony & boring hit piece. The facts are just the opposite. Our team is doing a great job with CoronaVirus!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 11, 2020
And the Senator in charge of the Committee overseeing Homeland Security (and things like pandemics and testing for the disease causing the pandemic) is Ron Johnson from Wisconsin. And his primary concern? Hunter Biden.
I am not making this up.
It's always darkest before it goes completely black.
