Americans are expressing huge frustration at Frankfurt airport. Telling me they’re angry with Trump for effectively ordering them home with unclear edicts abt border closures. People spent thousands on new tickets and remain unsure when they have to enter US and what happens then— Richard Engel (@RichardEngel) March 12, 2020
The biggest obstacle to containing coronavirus may be chronic understaffing at retailers and restaurants. So-called lean staffing makes it hard to keep stores disinfected and let workers call in sick, even when companies say that's what they want. https://t.co/C3wgQWYZBD— Noam Scheiber (@noamscheiber) March 12, 2020
Which means workers go home, don't get paid, and complain because they COULD have had a payroll tax holiday! And will be grateful at least that D.C. didn't create a whole new bureaucracy that could have helped them out with food assistance, free testing, and paid sick leave. Oh, what a paradise it seems!

U.S. stocks fell 10%, the worst day on the stock market since 1987. Thanks, Obama!
NEW: President Trump is temporarily halting his trademark rallies as campaign bows to the coronavirus outbreak that is rapidly reshaping the nation’s political landscape.— Jonathan Lemire (@JonLemire) March 12, 2020

More likely they're afraid nobody would come, or would be allowed to come under new local regulations. Cities which have closed down local events but not outright banned public gatherings are not going to want to see a Trump rally come to town. And cities that do allow the rallies won't want to face the blowback from local residents.
But in the mean time you can’t get a fucking test kit.— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) March 12, 2020
Still the fucking bottom line.
