More than half of the forces Russia had arrayed along Ukraine's borders have now entered the country, a senior U.S. defense official says. British officials say the Russian advance has slowed due to logistical difficulties and strong Ukrainian resistance.https://t.co/oi1SjJzBAm

You're going to see people from the West resigning from their Russian propaganda jobs and major corporations. It's not that they didn't know any better: they got caught. Putin's war has been a PR disaster for his useful idiots.

So those javelins at issue in Trump Impeachment I were in fact quite important to Ukraine, it would seem.

A Saturday morning background briefing with a senior U.S. defense official about the war in Ukraine just concluded.
— Dan Lamothe (@DanLamothe) February 26, 2022
First takeaway: Russian reconnaissance troops are now in and near Kyiv, the capital, even as main Russian advanced is about 30 kilometers north, official said.
Shortly before this briefing, the State Department announced an additional $350 million in security assistance going to the Ukrainians. U.S. defense official says that will include more Javelin missiles, anti-armor weapons that the Ukrainians want.

Final point: As of Saturday morning in Washington, not a single major Ukrainian city has fallen to Russia, days after this invasion began.

Outgunned or not, the Ukrainians are making this painful for Putin and his army.
Just listened to an interview with the father of a Russian soldier who had been captured in Ukraine. After praying for his son’s safety, he said, with visible anger: “Why aren’t the sons of oligarchs out there fighting this senseless war? Where are they? Who needs this war?”

Just for avoidance of doubt: the state road agency is dismantling the road signs (here's message below); the "go fuck yourself" sign is clearly their illustrative joke, not real street signs. (for now at least). pic.twitter.com/vkIrr7yIh8

"Zelensky’s conduct makes Trump’s attempt to use the power of the U.S. government to blackmail him even more obscene. Trump is not fit to shine Zelensky’s boots. That Trump’s actions were taken as the American head of state should make us deeply ashamed." https://t.co/gRBYH4CDQj

There are people in this country still praising Putin. They need to be shunned.Zelensky stood firm against Trump and now he is standing firm against Trump's hero Putin, even in the face of death.https://t.co/8QVYvJafmz

As Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rep Paul Gosar speak at this white supremacist, anti-Semitic, pro-Putin event, silence by Republican Party leaders is deafening and enabling.

War slways has a human face.Major reversal for Germany, from Chancellor Scholz: “The Russian attack marks a turning point. It is our duty to do our best to help Ukraine defend against Putin’s invading army. That's why we're supplying 1000 anti-tank weapons and 500 stinger missiles to our friends in Ukraine” https://t.co/908861RpTd
