🀣🀣

I'm laughing because my friend who runs the bookstore I once worked at still remembers the time I told her, in somewhat mock frustration, that I never wanted to hear another grandmother tell me she was looking for a book for her grandchild who "reads above grade level."

Because no one (well, not literally) ever came in asking for a book for their perfectly average grandchild.

And no, my parents never treated me like that, either.  It was a generational thing.  Years of self-examination allowed me to reconcile myself with my limitations. And my parent's expectations.

So it goes. πŸ€ͺ🧐
