People want it to be like a movie, with heroes who win by facing certain death. Real life is not like that. IRL, rushing into danger and certain death is just stupid. You end up dead, the shooter keeps shooting.

Apparently the strategy to keep big groups of kids from being shot is having them congregate outside in close-packed groups waiting to get through the metal detector every single day.
