“Originalism” Means….

...what I want to be found there is ALL that can be found there. And history is the deadest of dead hands, which shall be lifted nevermore! 💀 

Yeah, that’s completely in line with the history and traditions of the common law. I mean, the whole purpose of the common law is to never let things change, right? 

What good is a dead hand if you can lift it? 
Yeah, I don’t have much use for “originalism.” It has all the intellectual integrity of “because I want it that way.”

  1. I'd like someone to ask Stephen Breyer how this fits in with his views of the nature of the Supreme Court as published in rose-colored ink in his last book.
