Oh, it gets better (doesn’t it always?):Imagine if, in the midst of the massive BLM riots this summer, the entire tech infrastructure had deplatformed Facebook because some had used that app to plan events devolving into violence. People would rightly have called that an insane act of ideological fascism.

Sure it will. Because aggrieved white people put on no-fly lists are a force to be reckoned with. This action to punish all Trump supporters -- and any outlet that hosts them -- for the actions of fringe criminals won’t calm the waters. It will unleash all the worst forces in American life on all sides.

Except actually, as it turns out, the force to be reckoned with is the people (and companies are at least run by people) when their government is threatened. Especially in a democracy.
It’s a long Twitter thread . Shapiro spends a lot of characters saying nothing. On the very platform he complains is “silencing” conservatives like... him. Of course, what he doesn’t do is call for the violent overthrow of the government, or the assault and/or murder of public officials. Which is why he’s still posting on Twitter.
You think maybe he’s figured that out?
He's one of the few males who professionalized their virginity. He's considered on the right to be something of an intellectual force, but he'll always be the blessed virgin Benny to me.
ReplyDeleteThe “fringe criminals” understood themselves to be following the directions of the POTUS. Kinda puts the POTUS on the fringe, too, doesn’t it?
ReplyDeleteOr is that possible?
