Does this mean Congress should demand Amazon sell porn? Or that Barnes & Noble should? Or my favorite independent bookstore? Or maybe just The Protocols Of The Elders of Zion. If this stuff isn’t on the bookshelves, or readily available on Amazon, what’s the First Amendment for?scenes from the Senate floor pic.twitter.com/7PLwEom4Tw

And he's one of the "smart Republicans."
ReplyDeleteYou know that all of this talk about "First Amendment" is something started on the alleged left, they quickly saw how useful it would be for fascism, maybe the ACLU and so many preening lefty scribblers like Nat Hentoff championing the "First Amendment" "rights" of Nazis and neo-fascists and the KKK and skinheads to propagate their hate so they would then kill Poor People of Color as the preeners preened in safety was their first clue that it would be a boon for the corporate fascists too.
If I had a dollar for every lefty originating, inaptly accusation made in the private sector about violations of "The First Amendment" "Free Speech (I'm not obligated to provide that to anyone I think should not have it) etc. I'd probably have no money worries. It was one of the milestones in my disillusionment with the secular left when I saw the tidal wave of that stuff on sites like Eschaton.
