...that Congressional hearings have been an excuse for Congressional grandstanding for as long as I’ve been paying attention? That before they did it for FoxNews, they did it for ABC/NBC/CBS. And probably the Red and Blue networks before that.

I can't recall which 19th century House member gave a florid speech insulting one of his opponents that talked about him "stinking and shining in the night like a decayed fish" as I recall reading. Then there's the cane attack on Senator Sumner.ReplyDelete
When I want to feel better about the appalling behavior in the Congress I watch what goes on regularly in the Brit House of Commons, then I go to the entirely more sane Scottish National Assembly which shows me Scotland is a lot more ready for independence than England is.
