There’s A Civil War Coming…

And apparently the generals are going to be DeSantis and Trump.

Not sure who’s playing Grant and who’s playing Lee; but mutual destruction (of the GOP) is assured.

Chris Sununu is telling Chuck Todd, as I write, that he will support the GOP POTUS candidate, but insists Trump will not be the nominee. He insists the GOP is smarter than that.

I can’t figure out what planet he’s on. My suspicion is he’s an MCU character who doesn’t realize he’s in another universe, one where reason is not controlling.

Although he’s talking a lot. Sounds like a man trying to convince you by sheer verbiage. Like a used car salesman. Or Donald Trump.

And now he’s defending FixNews by arguing CNN, et al., repressed/ignored HUNTER BIDEN’S LAPTOP and the Wuhan lab leak. Two stories as real as the Bowling Green Massacre. So Chris Sununu is going to save the GOP from…Chris Sununu?*

Forget that Marvel multiverse argument. Sununu is just another Republican. There is no other kind anymore.

BTW: Todd leads off the panel discussion with the issue of D.C. home rule and what Biden said. Dems not in disarray is a BIG STORY!

I guess…

*No, Todd didn’t “battle” Sununu on his claim all news = FixNews. Todd politely asserted no one at NBC could do that, and then thanked Sununu for slandering every other journalist in America.

(Back to MTP: Pat McCrory sounded almost sensible, denouncing Trump, CPAC , and the Club for Growth for promoting nothing but GOP infighting. And then he said this would lead to a third party via the 40%  (his number) independent voters.

Sure, Pat. Is he not old enough to remember Ross Perot? Turns out he’s promoting No Labels and the ancient argument that “the majority “ could reject both parties and choose a third candidate as POTUS. Which has never happened in American history, and would be a disaster if it did. Dems are standing firm behind Biden on D.C. home rule. Who in Congress would stand firmly behind a No Labels POTUS, period?

Besides, when “the majority” rejects both candidates, one wins anyway. You know, like in 2016.)
