Now he's going to argue with the widow:Trump called Rep. Wilson a “liar” for saying his phone call to Myeshia Johnson was “insensitive.” The widow herself confirms: “Whatever Ms. Wilson said was not fabricated. What she said was 100% correct.” https://t.co/V5oUEBtDcu pic.twitter.com/Xvne7yfpPP— Andrew Kirell (@AndrewKirell) October 23, 2017
Johnson on Monday broke her silence about the now infamous phone call with the president during an interview on ABC’s Good Morning America. During the interview, Johnson backed up Rep. Frederica Wilson’s (D-FL) account of what happened, and said that Trump left her feeling “very upset.”
So Trump had to respond:
I had a very respectful conversation with the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, and spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 23, 2017
Curiosly, this seems to be the first time he's mentioned the sergeant's name. But now he can't name the widow. And how childish are you to have to insist your conversation was "respectful" when the person you were talking to says it wasn't? Is that really a fit subject for an argument? Maybe among very small children.....
