Befuddling?  No.  This is your government on Trump.

Trump has increasingly put responsibility for testing on states. When a doctor emailed Brett Giroir, the WH testing coordinator, about supplies, Giroir replied: “There is zero probability we can help on plates,” referring to plastic trays used in testing. https://t.co/Lrd1h8Bi5u

And by the way, the other 323 million of us in this country don't give a wet snap how we stack up to other countries.  This isn't a contest.  The only question is:  what are you doing for America?

Now, as long as the death count stays under 200,000, Trump will count it a win.   And as long as Trump can blame the states, he'll count it as a win.
