Or "Treason"

Everybody knows "treason" is bad, so it's the go-to when you want to express the limits of criminal liability. They aren't even close to being right in how they use it (under U.S. law or in general), but it is, as Popehat says, "Emotive unserious shorthand" for a limited vocabulary/understanding.

There's probably a Godwin's Law for that by now.
