And the facts not redacted don’t make it any better:Dept of Justice is being emphatic and unequivocal in its explanation for redactions of the Mar-a-Lago search warrant affidavit

Safety of civilian witnesses
The affidavit makes clear that according to the government, the claim that the Trump team was asked to put a stronger lock on the storage room in the basement at MAL was not what they asked. They asked that the room be secured. Video showed people were coming in and out.

I guess the raincoat and golf balls were intended for his library, too?The boxes, as we've reported before, were a mishmash of items - a raincoat, golf balls, a razor - and also, per the DOJ filing, other random papers jumbled in with 184 individual documents with unchanged classified markings.

Oops! Silly movers!"There have been public reports about an investigation by DOJ into Presidential Records purportedly marked as classified among materials that were once in the White House and unknowingly included among the boxes brought to Mar-a-Lago by the movers."

I'm kinda here for it.The goalposts are moving on the far-right already.

After insisting the DOJ release the search warrant, which they did, then the affidavit, which they did, they're now pleading for Trump to release Mar a Lago surveillance tapes.
They're scrounging unsuccessfully for wrongdoing. pic.twitter.com/j1s9H9RJ4N
John Solomon. Paging John Solomon. John Solomon to the white courtesy phone, puh-leeze! And Kash Patel can go pound sand:'why didn't the FBI raid Trump earlier?' isn't the talking point Fox News thinks it is pic.twitter.com/DM4pVdNryb

Speaking, too, of things that won't matter a whit in court (because declassification will not be an issue).π―Footnote 2 is VERY important. It's what we've been talking about now for weeks since the search of MAL.

The bogus story about declassification does not matter for purposes of the crimes being investigated here. Legal precedents referenced in footnote. pic.twitter.com/Pj2Q3He5kd
Your reminder that Tom Fitton is not a lawyer.Tom Fitton doesn't directly respond to a question about if he's advising Trump, but says Trump "should back and say, these are all my personal records. I want 'em back." pic.twitter.com/Uu1JPHbYQY

Biden just offered his most expansive comments about handling of classified material following the search of Mar-a-Lago. Asked about Trump’s declassification claim, Biden scoffed: “I just want you to know I’ve declassified everything in the world. I’m president, I can do — c’mon"

Also, you realize that literally no one around Trump, his aides, lawyers, etc. who were handling these boxes were cleared to see this info, right? It’s already been accessed by unauthorized individuals (including Trump as of 01/20/21)

As I was saying earlier: we never had this problem with Camp David; or LBJ's ranch; or even Bush's "ranch." And this is what hath got wrot (weekly edition):And btw, I think we can assume compromise even if Trump himself affirmatively did nothing. It just had to be accessed by someone already at MAL who has been recruited by foreign intel: The affidavit makes clear that these docs were just hanging out with zero security
