I Guess?

Repubs have succeeded in seizing the fentanyl issue by blaming it on the border, when they have no other solutions or policy on it. We could have 100’ high wall on the border and it would still be here. They have the issue solely because the Biden Admin has chosen not to respond.

On MTP last Sunday a GOP Congresscritter started spouting his talking points about “liberal Democratic judges” releasing violent criminals on bail and generally refusing to keep criminals in prison. A) it was an odd thing to say since police and criminal courts are state matters, not federal; and B) it was the very same unhinged (and extremely untrue) BS I’ve run into locally on NextDoor. Where it’s popular with two or three cranks, but hardly fueling a rising red tide of GOP voters.

And fentanyl? Even the most fervid FoxNews viewers haven’t mentioned fentanyl on NextDoor. It’s just not drawing any attention. Oh, I know somebody has found video of a lady reciting crazy FoxNews stories on fentanyl in Halloween bags. But a patch of ice doth not a winter make, nor a single video a landslide.

To respond is to give this crap oxygen. The GOP is going to talk about “open borders” no matter what. They don’t care about the reality, they only want to demagogue. In fact, the Biden White House is responding to the GOP in the best way possible:
