No Shades

It should be obvious by now that Trump wants to leave his indelible mark on American history (so he compared himself to Washington and Lincoln, the only two presidents we honor every February. Trump wants that recognition.). So he wants to be the President who made Canada a state; or acquired Greenland; or took back the Panama Canal. That’ll get him on Rushmore, right?

He admires Putin because he understands sole proprietorships. Except in government, we call that a dictatorship. See what happens when you try to run government like a business?

I think Trump truly thinks he’s doing it right, because he doesn’t understand the difference. That’s not a compliment, nor an excuse. He’s brought in people, like his Commerce Secretary, who don’t know the difference, either.
"We don’t need other countries.”—Donald J Trump
That may not happen, but the fact that Trump is completely clueless about such things, is telling. And dangerous for America. Not deeply and profoundly dangerous to the foundations of the Republic; but damaging in ways it may take a long time to recover from. The U.S. is not going to disappear like a puffball any more than Musk is, but his business collapse is more inevitable than the country’s. Bad times are coming, and we can’t say we didn’t invite them. But we aren’t suddenly a nation of Stephen Millers and Howard Lutnicks and Elon Musks, and our old allies know this. We’re also under no obligation to save Russia from itself. If that’s what Trump wants to do, it can only be coincidental to his interest in owning real estate in Moscow. Which is ironic, since it would just be another casino, but this time without his father to bail him out.

Besides, he still owes the state of New York half a billion dollars. And if he takes classified information back to MAL and tries to keep it again, he can’t go back to the well of campaign donors to pay his lawyers.
His future is really not very bright.
Malice can certainly extend from ignorance and stupidity.
