Nope. The First One is Right

Texas is too big, too culturally diverse, too geographically diverse, and too damned ornery and too dad-blamed TEXAS!, to be part of any other region.

(Texas has 9 distinct regions: East Texas, the Coast, South Texas, the Valley, Central Texas, the Trans-Pecos, West Texas, the Panhandle, and North Texas. I won't even try to describe the cultural differences of all those regions, but it varies from "western Louisiana" to "northern Mexico" to "Anglo Mexico" to " high plains." And that's just the edges.)
