That's how it wound up in the cross-hairs of Popehat, where most of the replies agreed the story was about the pernicious influence of Elon Musk.

My point is that woman would be an insufferable asshole if she had never heard of Elon Musk.

But not, oddly, about the pernicious influence of Donald Trump (who, after all, has been at it far longer, and with a much bigger bully pulpit for many years). Which would be a surprise to the two people thrown off the plane:

At the end of the video, the woman ascribed political motivations to the decision to remove them from the flight.

"We're going to get [kicked] off the plane because we're Trump supporters!" she shouted. "Seriously, I really think that's what it is!"

Surely we can all agree it's just because they were assholes.  But how curious the narrative becomes, depending on how it is framed.
