My Mother Took Insulin Four Times A Day

In the last year of her life the price jumped. Fortunately she could afford it. I have no idea if the price rose and fell since she died.  But she died in 2018, and apparently the price is still high.
In the United States, insulin costs over $98 per unit, whereas the rest of the world it costs less than $10. The medication keeps many people alive.
Sen. Chuck Grassley has been complaining about the price of insulin since 2019, so I guess nothing has changed. He’s also done nothing about it, but that’s beside my point.
Our healthcare system isn’t broken. It’s been ground into dust.
