Both are correct. But running for public office imposes restrictions on one's activity. If Trump is charged with violating federal election law, that's because he ran for President. That's the way it works. The indictment wouldn't have happened if Donald Trump weren't a criminal sociopath. https://t.co/dH80FPQb5e

"*So long as justice is administered only against Democrats." Always gotta read the fine print. An amusing fact I vaguely recalled, confirmed by Wikipedia: The classical-style New York Supreme Court building, next door to where Trump will be arraigned, has a frieze with an inscription, "The true administration of justice is the firmest pillar of good government." pic.twitter.com/zT5Mwm49fB

He really thinks he is his own best lawyer. Which is why he's in so deep he has to look up to see bottom. Funny thing: he doesn't know what he's looking at.Trump will be the one to enter his “not guilty” plea today, not his attorneys, per @KaraScannell.

Today is an example of what happens when presidents take the Trump approach instead of the Nixon/Clinton approach to legal peril. Trump didn’t try to appear truthful, cooperative, or respectful of the legal system at any point during his tenure. He forced this consequence. https://t.co/qplmRR2q1N

"KANGAROO COURT!!!" is not helping anything. Just sayin'....One has to wonder, if Trump acknowledged ANY responsibility in the cases he is being investigated for, if he'd be in a different situation. I'm not saying he should be, but what is "unprecedented" is his intransigence in every instance of wrongdoing, which means he'll do it again
