Not just Senator Johnson. The people should have their fury justified, their righteous anger acknowledged. Being a Senator is a privilege, not a right. It comes with responsibilities which should be affirmed. If we’re going to protect our democracy, we could do worse than look to our history.Calling Sen. And interestingly, the language of the 14th amendment affirmatively bans Congress members involved in insurrection. They are not removed by a vote of either House; they can only be retained by it.
