The Supreme Court leak looks, smells, and tastes like a giant kayfabe. Professional wrestling. It's not that I have some secret insight into the Court.
It's that I'm a damn anthropologist of the right wing media ecosystem in which I operated for decades.
3/ To quote the political philosopher Ian Fleming, “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.”

By 7am ET today, the usual suspects on the right-wing media gulag were on EXACTLY the same outrage "HOW DARE YOU SIR!" tone and message.
This decision is entirely and nakedly political. The very opposite of what a court opinion should be.5/ ...so clearly centered on pushing Roberts to keep Party Brett in line?

If something looks mysterious in politics, it's a trick.
More to come on this, but just a few immediate thoughts.
Sadly, this is behind a paywall, so I can’t read it. I just add it to show great minds think alike (or, more accurately, even a blind pig (hello!) finds the occasional acorn). This is just a searing indictment of the leaked Dobbs opinion and the modern court. Every word of it exactly spot on. Would expect nothing less from @barryfriedman1 @steve_vladeck @Dahlialithwick https://t.co/uB2gCFGAk0
