"I would like to say 'This book is written to the glory of God', but nowadays this would be the trick of a cheat, i.e., it would not be correctly understood."--Ludwig Wittgenstein
"Talk to me about the truth of religion, and I'll listen gladly. Talk to me about the duty of religion and I'll listen submissively. But don't come talking to me about the consolation of religion or I shall suspect that you don't understand."--C.S. Lewis

"Dragons do not do well in captivity."
I have absolutely no interest in "Game of Thrones," but the line by Tyrion (my daughter watches it) is going to become my motto:
"That's what I do. I drink, and I know things."
Now, if I could just get somebody to pay me for that......
I'm looking forward to it. In large part because of Tyrion. And, I admit, the copious amounts of tits and dragons.ReplyDelete
If I'm going to read about depraved medieval folk, I'd rather read about the real ones. They were plenty depraved enough, though our leaders, the real ones, the oligarchs, are as depraved as any.ReplyDelete
