There’s always somebody asking that question:wHy WoNt mERriCk GArlAnD dOOOO aNyThiNG?!?!?!?!

The simple truth is, nothing is simple. And you should keep in mind what you don’t know.Searching Mar-a-Lago for stolen federal records and breaking into Trump’s safe should just be Garland’s opening acts. He still needs to indict Trump and his advisers for trying to stage a coup. The American experiment is on the line. https://t.co/419MFcRUsp

Because this is how the judicial system works:/20 I keep coming back to this: based on the stuff they HAVEN'T gone after, either this is the greatest overplayed hand ever or there is something very dramatic we don't know about.

And there is no doubt this was not done lightly. Remember, too:/2 Trump's Watergate reference illuminates the authoritarian mindset echoed obediently by little Kevin here. A completely burglary and bugging operation, not even arguably legal, is equivalent to a search warrant obtained according to law and rules and judicial supervision....

Trump hasn’t even been indicted yet, and already the GOP is screaming bloody murder. If you are wondering, “kinetic civil war” is just the language they use to mean violence. It is a military term and the author here is embracing the military language (or has military background) to cosplay. It would be funny in its attempts to sound deep, but it’s not. https://t.co/Gs6duharQS

Which really means grifting.Deleted this because a Trump adviser says it’s not his entity doing the fundraising, appears to be rnc pic.twitter.com/LbBPhEsXJs

And there’s going to be a whole lotta pseudo-legal BS flung around because this involves a rich white guy.The person whose property is searched is entitled to a copy of the warrant (and an inventory of property seized), but he would not be given a copy of the government's warrant application or supporting affidavit. People almost never see those unless/until they're prosecuted. https://t.co/V49RpjsTRO

Pretty much what I just said.Trump can go to court to challenge any or all aspects of the search. The governors and senators who are complaining have access to lawyers who can help in this effort. But the Republicans who are screaming don’t believe the search is illegal. They believe Trump is above the law.

Too. Also. As well.To Trumpers thinking they will avenge Trump, I direct you to the nearly 900 MAGA fans charged for their role in Jan 6. Many of them are charged with felonies and are facing MANY years in jail. That's your future.

On behalf of defense lawyers everywhere I really appreciate the clarity with which the GOP is expressing that the role of law enforcement is only to police the powerless and that if it polices them it is so illegitimate it should be dissolved.
