The ‘delusion’ was Trump’s that he’d won election and he spread that message and inspired the mob that resulted in deaths and an attempted coup. ‘He called us all to the Capitol and he wants us to make it WILD!!! Sir Yes Sir!!!’ wrote leader of the Oath Keepers after Trump tweet https://t.co/Z6cAbW0aKT— Trip Gabriel (@tripgabriel) February 22, 2021
It ain't over 'til it's over.
“Had it not been for several Justice Department attorneys threatening to resign this Jan., Trump might have gone even further than he did to overturn the election results. And that raises critical questions that this Committee and Judge Garland must reckon with,” Durbin will say— Manu Raju (@mkraju) February 22, 2021
My only disagreement with the article is that Trump was never engaged in anything for four years, except the comfort and ego support of Trump. He didn't "check out" in November. He had never checked in.
This is exactly right. Even if you excuse his earlier failures, the twice-impeached and disgraced ex-president completely checked out of his job from November to January. https://t.co/eIzu6KpK2O— George Conway (@gtconway3d) February 22, 2021
