🤷‍♂️

Without being a lesson on ConLaw, this is a nice example of the element of “important governmental objective.” That’s not a rigidly defined term, but it is part of a test for  whether a statute or policy can stand up to scrutiny. We do rather prize our liberty, and government faces barriers to treading on those.

As to why I bring that up, I have no idea at all. It just seemed relevant, for some reason.
