I actually saw the local TV coverage of this “event” last night. There were maybe a dozen protesters shown, v. over 100 identified as counter-protesters. No mention of “antifa” (which is a right-wing shibboleth anyway). I looked at the Lovely Wife and said “Why can’t I take my kid to a drag show if I want to?” We’re not talking snuff porn here; it’s men in women’s clothing and women in men’s. People have been doing that onstage since at least Shakespeare’s day (well, the men, at least. Which is really what everybody’s upset about.) The Brits still make a big deal of it with their Christmas Pantomime (if my information is right and that's still a thing).  Am I to burn all my Monty Python CD's?  Erase my copy of "Some Like It Hot"?

The whole issue is simply farcical.  It's hardly a Reichstag fire.

And as for getting MTG involved in it: who cares? The best thing you can do with her is point and laugh. Getting upset because she’s upset is just giving her power she wouldn’t otherwise have.  She's going to interject herself into any controversy she can, just so people will pay attention to her.  Here's an idea: don't!

She's really not worth it.
