ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, especially as it applies to my state as well as any, if you return someone like that to the Senate when they've got a good and credible election opponent, the state deserves to have him form peoples' image of the state. Susan Collins is an exact photo of the mentally colonized, Republican-fascist (lite) propagandized Maine population. Maybe not as many of her supporters would have been OK with assassinating Nancy Pelosi, Ilhan Omar, AOC, etc. as the Republican-fascists of MO or Florida or Texas, but that is who the Republicans are. After their acquital of Trump,there is no working with any Republicans who remain in the party. I'd give the 10+7 who voted for impeachment and removal a month or two to leave it before concluding that was a mere fluke.
