Stand By

Oh, I think it did. That’s why Congress has plenary power to legislate and investigate and refer criminal matters for prosecution.

And why Trump lost 60 court cases and tried mightily to evade detection of his plans and efforts to stay in power.

Indeed, if the Constitution didn’t anticipate (or “contemplate”) such circumstances, it would have created a fragile republic indeed.

On the contrary, I think the domestic enemies of the Constitution are the ones who didn’t reckon with the strength of the government.
They expected to win. They wanted a record for history, in a future where they thought they’d be heroes.

We the people supporting the constitution had other plans.
