Wow did Trump's lawyers suck https://t.co/HNivabjylL
Good to know:

"'There is no opportunity where the president of the United States can run rampant in January at the end of his term and just go away scot-free,' [Trump's lead lawyer Bruce] Castor said. 'The Department of Justice does know what to do with such people.'" https://t.co/YC5JsJ3rbd
That’s the worm turning. Castor burned his client to the ground."After all, if the president had committed crimes, 'after he's out of office, you go and arrest him,' he said."

Well, okay then. https://t.co/98VGkyU4sE
There's no reason he couldn't be charged for other crimes, I wonder in what way a non-judicial Senate trial could lead to the double-jeopardy out in a judicial hearing.
ReplyDeleteNone at all. This is a non-judicial proceeding. It doesn’t count. Trump is in deep shit in Georgia, and I think this proceeding lays the groundwork for “the exception that proves the rule.” I.e., we don’t prosecute former Presidents, but this time we have to.
